E-commerce giant Alibaba Group announced it will invest 28 billion yuan in electronics retailer Suning Commerce Group. The deal will make Alibaba the second-largest shareholder in the retailing company.
電商巨頭阿里巴巴集團宣布以28億人民幣的價格投資電子零售商蘇寧集團。該合作也讓阿里巴巴成為了蘇寧的第二大股東。
Suning will also invest 14 billion yuan for 1 percent of Alibaba’s shares.
蘇寧也將以140億人民幣的價格購買阿里巴巴1%的股票。
The two companies said they will link up on e-commerce, and allow consumers that have purchased goods on Alibaba’s websites to receive services at Suning’s stores. Suning will offer shoppers the option of Alibaba’s payment service, Alipay, and other financial services, said an executive from Ant Financial Services Group. Ant Financial is the parent company of Alipay, Alibaba's online payment platform.

Suning has more than 660 logistics centers and over 2,700 delivery outlets as of the end of June. Company president Sun Weimin said Suning can deliver goods within two days in 90 percent of China’s cities.
截止到7月份，蘇寧的配送中心超過了660個，快遞點超過了2700個。蘇寧總裁孫為民稱在全國90%的地區，蘇寧能夠在兩天之內送貨。
Alibaba has recently sought to expand in the so-called online-to-offline business with the rolling out of an app called Miaojie which tells consumers about sales and a 6 billion yuan investment in the meal booking app Taodiandian.
日前，阿里巴巴正在擴寬線上線下服務，并推出了手機客戶端喵街，這款app能夠讓消費者了解一系列銷售活動，并以60億人民幣投資創建訂餐客戶端淘點點。
