That topic will be words that summarize what people say

We can use verbs to summarize what people say

so that we don't have to report every word that they said
這樣我們就沒必要逐字逐句地復述
For example

Anna apologized and explained her mistake with the document
安娜為她文檔中的錯誤道歉并進行了解釋
We can use the words apologized and explained
我們可以用apologized和explained這兩個動詞
to summarize what Anna did
來總結安娜做了什么
instead of reporting everything that she said she did
而用逐字復述她的所言所行
Anna said:
安娜說
I'm so sorry I forgot to add that extra paragraph into the document
我很抱歉忘了給文檔加上額外的一個段落
You see, I spilled coffee all over the drafts
是這樣的，我把咖啡潑到了稿紙上
And that extra paragraph was completely soaked through
那額外的一個段落被浸透了
Notice that using such verbs cuts down the amount of words
注意，使用這樣的動詞可大大地減少
you need to report
