In this lesson we will be focusing on pre-intermediate level models 11 to 15

The first thing we'll learn about is gerunds “ing” forms
首先要學(xué)習(xí)的是,關(guān)于動(dòng)名詞的ing形式
The after verbs of liking and disliking
它是liking和disliking的后綴動(dòng)詞
Gerunds are verbs forms turned into nouns
動(dòng)名詞指由動(dòng)詞轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞的動(dòng)詞形式
We can change the verb “to talk” into a gerund
我們通過(guò)后加ing可將動(dòng)詞to talk
by adding “ing” to the end
轉(zhuǎn)為動(dòng)名詞
talking, talking on the phone is one of my favourite things to do talking
講話,我最喜歡在電話里講話
Anna likes walking; I'm interested in playing rugby
安娜喜歡走路,我喜歡玩英式橄欖球
Notice that the gerunds can be either the subject
要注意動(dòng)名詞既可以成為句子的主語(yǔ)
or the object of a sentence
也可以成為賓語(yǔ)
And they often come after prepositions
并常在介詞后面出現(xiàn)
And the sentences on the screen
屏幕上顯示的句子中
talking is the subject, walking is the object
talking是主語(yǔ) walking是賓語(yǔ)
And playing comes after the preposition “in”
Playing跟在介詞in的后面

Read the sentences aloud with me

In these 2 sentences like and love are followed by a gerund
這兩個(gè)句子里的like和love
Playing and knitting
都在playing和knitting的前面
now try reading these sentences
現(xiàn)在朗讀下面的句子
I would like to go travelling
我愿意去旅行
I would love to go swimming at the beach this afternoon
我愿意下午去海邊游泳
Notice that would like and would love
注意到would like和would love
are followed by the word “to”
均被to這個(gè)詞跟隨
When we ask questions we use the forms “would you like to”
當(dāng)我們開口詢問(wèn)時(shí),要用 would you like to
And “do you like”
以及 do you like 的形式
Would you like to go running?
你愿意去跑步嗎？
Do you like skiing?
你喜歡滑雪嗎？
Remember that “l(fā)ove” is stronger than “l(fā)ike”
記住 love 比 like 要更為強(qiáng)烈
However the word “do you love” is not as common as “do you like”
但是 "do you love"不如"do you like"那么常用
It can get a lot of confusion, can't it?
兩者經(jīng)常會(huì)造成混淆,不是嗎？
