The Reason of Being Late 遲到的原因

1.the rason of

the reason of 表示.....的原因。

辨析the reason和the reason for

the reason for 常用固定搭配，后面可加動名詞、名詞或代詞。

例如：I can see no reason for his behaviour.

或 Do you know the reason for his absence?

如果用reason of 那通常只用在by reason of這個短語中，這是個很正式的說法，意思是由于……。

例如：He was found not guilty by reason of insanity.他因為精神失常而被判定無罪。

2.every

看到every這個單詞，跟大家講一個最簡單但是又最容易混淆的東西：

everyday 形容詞：每天的, 日常的, 平常的, 平凡的

例：a suit for everyday wear.

適合平日里穿的衣服

every day 通常做“每天”解作狀語時，省掉介詞（in),表示頻率。

I go to school every day.我每天上學

He exercises every day. 他每天鍛煉

3.corner

corner本身是角落的意思。

有一個固定搭配around the corner
