阿里巴巴董事長兼總裁馬云,認為此次購買雅虎股份交易“開啟了易趣和雅虎(美國搜索引擎公司)中國版本的新篇章”。目前，正處于交易的核心動作時期，阿里巴巴已經購回雅虎所持有的40%股份的一半，并將支付雅虎76億美元現金。阿里巴巴公司保留購買雅虎公司擁有剩余股份的優先購買權，目前為23%左右。
Now this payment will come in 3 forms. Thefirst is cash, the second is preferred stock and the third as a fee to changetechnology and patent agreements. And the cash payout comes in at more than 6billion dollars, and amounts to more than 80% of the deal's value.
這一部分股份的支付可采取三種形式。第一種為現金，第二種為用阿里巴巴優先股，最后一種做為雅虎今后的技術交換和專利使用協議的使用費。現金支付部分將超過60億美元，占全部交易價值的80%以上。
And with this move, Alibaba seems veryhappy as it's on its way to an ultimate goal of the initial public offering.And Yahoo, well, it's happy too. Because basically, it is just getting a lot ofmoney. On Tuesday, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer said this: Yahoo is pleased toannounce that we will be returning 3 billion dollars of the proceeds to shareholders.And these yields are a substantial return for investors while attaining ameaningful amount of capital within the company to basically invest in futuregrowth. And those proceeds can come back through either a share-buy-back or aspecial dividend that hasn't yet been decided. And well Yahoo investors alsoseem pretty happy over the deal. They did push the share of the stock price upnearly one in a half percent in Tuesday trading. But take away from all ofthese, is that it seems almost everyone is smiling after thistechno-shaken.
