One day, a manfall introuble of his bad tooth, so he find a dentist for help. but when the dentist just want to work, the man is suddenly howling.

一天，一個(gè)人的牙齒出了問(wèn)題，所以他向牙醫(yī)尋求幫助。但是當(dāng)牙醫(yī)要開(kāi)始工作的時(shí)候，這個(gè)人突然就嚎叫了起來(lái)。

Dentist: Please stop howling. I haven't even touched your tooth yet.

牙醫(yī)：請(qǐng)你不要再喊了！我還沒(méi)碰你的牙呢。

Patient: I know, but you arestanding on my foot!

病人：我知道，可是你正踩著我的腳呀！

howl:嚎叫

eg：Listen，someone is howling！聽(tīng)，有人正在嚎叫。

fall in表示陷入的意思。

eg：I am falling in love with Mary.我愛(ài)上了瑪麗。

stand on one's foot表示站在某人的腳上

在美國(guó)口語(yǔ)中還有一種類似的說(shuō)法，不過(guò)意思就大相徑庭了

stand on one's own two feet表示獨(dú)立自主，試想如果一個(gè)人能站穩(wěn)腳跟的話，他就一定可以獨(dú)立自主，靠自己的力量生存。
