1. As far as 就 ... 而言, 遠到..., 到 ... 程度

例句:This is a book, which I dare say, is unequaled as far as translation practice is concerned. 就翻譯訓(xùn)練而言我認為這是一本無出其右的好書。

1. concern vt.涉及, 影響, 關(guān)心

語法用法：so far as ... is/are concerned，as far as ... is/are concerned，so far as concerns和as concerns都是“就...而言”的意思。注意后兩種表達中concerns用復(fù)數(shù)不用單數(shù)。

例句：These problems concern all of us. 這些問題影響到我們每一個人。

How much money I earn is none of your concern. 我掙多少錢與你無關(guān)。

2. Gamble v.賭博, 冒險, 孤注一擲

例句: The gamble paid off. 賭贏了。

He spends all his time gambling in the casino.他把時間都消磨在賭場的賭博上

The company took a gamble by cutting the price of their products. 公司冒險將產(chǎn)品削價出售。

Chase vt.追捕, 追求

Why do modern people chase material possessions? 為什么現(xiàn)在的人們追求物質(zhì)財富？

They caught the puppy after a long chase. 他們追了很久才把小狗逮住。

We must chase the enemy from our country. 我們必須把敵人趕出我國。
