【詞匯】Sometimes, when we’re really at loose ends, we might even say we’re “bored to death” or “so bored I could die!”

這句話當中，我們要特別注意兩個詞組，一個是“at loose ends”，還有一個是“bored to death”，

loose有“寬松的,不牢固 ”的意思，譬如：“loose clothing; the large shoes were very loose.
寬松的衣服；大鞋子非常寬松。 ”

at loose ends的意思就是指“ 無所適從,處于雜亂狀態”，

例如：Since the girl left, he seems to be at loose ends.
自從，那個姑娘，離開之后，他好像就神魂不定。

bored 意思是“adj. 厭煩的，無聊的 ”，

譬如：I'm rather bored by the rumor.
這個謠傳，我真的聽膩了。

bored to death的意思是指“無聊至死 ”，

譬如：Your friend bored me to death.
你的朋友叫我討厭死了。

Sometimes, when we’re really at loose ends, we might even say we’re “bored to death” or “so bored I could die!”這句話的意思就是“有的時候，我們真的不知道該做什么好，只是一個勁的說‘我無聊死了’‘我無聊透頂了’”。
