PART 3 - The Lesson
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
1. TENTATIVE PLANS
MIGHT (IT MIGHT BE)
It might be a good idea to wait till November.
I'd like to have the wedding in the spring.
- Yes,it might be nice.
I WAS THINKING (OF)
I was thinking it might be a nice idea to have a barbecue.
When should we have the meeting?
- I was thinking of having an outside reception.
"I was thinking ... then I spoke to you ... now I may change my opinion".
2 MORE DEFINITE PLANS
BE GOING TO
We're going to have a traditional wedding.
注意: be going to 比intend 和plan 更肯定一些.
3. FINALIZED PLANS
We're having the reception in the garden.
(Present Continuous Tense)
The wedding's at 3 o'clock.
(Simple Present Tense)
There'll be 40 guests.
(Future Tense)
I'm eeing Peter tomorrow night.
We're going to the pictures.
I'll meet you at the station.
I'll see you tonight.
PART 4 - Background Material
