Ken: You rented Star Wars --- two months ago! You owe 29.5 yuan! And here it shows that we called you seven times to remind you.
Lily: You know, with the economy and all...what do you say we just forget about forget about it?

1. 對話中，Lily來到Movietime交逾期的費用，不過好像進行的并不順利。late fee是指所需繳納的“逾期費用，過期費用”，比如說，---You have a late fee on your last rental. ---Really? I thought I brought it back early. ---你得交上次租的片子的逾期費。---真的嗎？我還以為我早就還了呢。

4. Ken先看了看Lily的會員卡，Lily問得交多少逾期費。由于Lily租的是Star Wars《星球大戰》這樣的熱門影片，而且是兩個月前租的，過期費應該是很多了，一共29塊5毛錢。電腦記錄上顯示電影時光的店員打過7次電話去提醒Lily。

5. Lily還在找借口，You know, with the economy and all...你也知道經濟啊什么的最近的狀況。all that表示“…之類”。相信大家都學過...and so on，在舉例子的時候表示“…等等”的意思，而在口語中也有一個因為偷懶而不想把全部例子都舉出來的好用短語，就是...and all that，意思就和...and things like that. 一樣。比如說，---You want me to send you more money? ---Books and all that cost money. 6. forget about sb or sth 表示“忘掉或不再想某人某物，不把某人某物放在心上”，比如說，Let's forget about our differences. 咱們不要把彼此的分歧放在心上。Try to forget all about him. 別再想他了。

1. 在上一段對話中，Lily想讓Ken就當沒有這回事，別收她的逾期費用。但是Ken卻不買帳，還是讓Lily如數繳納過期費用。bargaining 這里是動名詞，表示“討價還價”。

Ken: It's up to you, ma'am. But I'll have to cancel your card and deny you future rental service if you don't pay.
Lily: Fine!
