IN THE warehouse
Donald Clark had spent several months with his father on the Crescent Ranch in Idaho. This sheep ranch was owned by Clark and Sons, of Boston. It supplied wool to that company’s large warehouse, of which Donald’s father was manager. When Mr. Clark returned with Donald from the ranch, he brought Thornton, a young ranchman, with them to work in the Boston warehouse. The warehouse was not new to Donald, for he had often been there with his father; but to Thornton this part of the wool business was entirely new.
