第97課
Lucy has a new pet.
露西養了一只新寵物。
Do you know what kind of bird it is?
你知道這是一只什么鳥嗎？
Lucy calls her Polly.
露西叫它波利。
Polly can say, “Poor Poll! Poor Poll! Polly wants a cracker;”and she can mew like a cat.
波利會說：“可憐的鸚鵡！可憐的鸚鵡！波利想要一塊餅干。”另外，她還會學貓叫呢。
But Polly and the cat are not good friends.
但波利和貓不是好朋友。
One day Polly flew down, and lit upon the cat’s back when she was asleep.
一天，當這只貓睡覺的時候，波利飛了下來，然后落在了這只貓的背上。
I think she knew the cat would not like that, and she did it to tease her.
我想它知道貓不喜歡這樣，它這么做是為了欺負這只貓。
When Lucy pets the cat, Polly flies up into the old apple tree, and will not come when she calls her.
當露西逗弄這只貓玩時，波利就飛到大蘋果樹上，露西叫它的時候，它也不出來。
Then Lucy says, “What a silly bird!”
露西說：“這只鳥真淘氣！”
