11月的最后一個星期四是感恩節。感恩節是美國人民獨創的一個古老節日。每逢感恩節這一天，美國舉國上下熱鬧非常，人們按照習俗前往教堂做感恩祈禱，城鄉市鎮到處都有化裝游行、戲劇表演或體育比賽等。勞燕分飛了一年的親人們也會從天南海北歸來，一家人團團圓圓，品嘗美味的感恩節火雞。
離異的夫妻在感恩節又重聚在一起，但面對前妻的男友，丈夫感到無法忍受。在大鬧一通之后，他來到前妻面前，請求前妻再給他一次機會，重歸于好。
Husband: I'm so embarrassed. I mean you could have told me somebody was coming.
我很尷尬，我是說你該讓我知道有人會來。
Wife: I didn't know you were coming. I didn't ask you to come.
我不知道你會來。我沒有請你來。
Husband: Look, I'm sorry. Look, I didn't realize what I was doing, OK? I mean it didn't mean anything. I should have never left, OK?
瞧，我很抱歉，我不知道自己做了什么，可以了嗎？我是說沒別的意思，我根本就不該離開，對嗎？
Wife: Come here. What do you want me to do? Hmm? What do you expect me to do? The whole time you were gone, you never once said you were sorry to me, you never once said you were sorry to the children. What did you think we were thinking?! Or feeling?
來吧。你想讓我做什么？啊？你希望我怎么做？你走了這么久，沒有對我說一次抱歉，也沒有對孩子們說過一次抱歉。你認為我們怎么想的？或是什么感覺？
Husband: Alright, OK, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I love you. Don't let this one thing destroy the family.
好了，好了，我抱歉，我抱歉。我愛你。別讓這件事破壞了家庭。
Wife: No one in this family is destroyed.
家里沒人遭到破壞。
Husband: Will you give me a second chance?
你可以再給我一次機會嗎？
Wife: I'm sorry.
對不起。
Husband: Fine.
那好吧。
