風雨哈佛路 Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story

　　Thora Birch stars as Liz Murray, the homeless daughter of an extremely dysfunctional Bronx family. Liz is a young girl who is taken care of by her loving, but drug-addicted father & mother, who is also an alcoholic. After her mother dies of HIV, which she got from sharing needles during her drug abuse, she got a 'slap in the face' by her mother's death and begins her work to finish high school, which she amazingly completed in two years, rather than the usual four. She becomes a star student and earns a scholarship to Harvard University through an essay contest sponsored by the New York Times.

　　麗茲(索拉·伯奇 Thora Birch飾)出生在美國的貧民窟里，從小就開始承受著家庭的千瘡百孔，父母酗酒吸毒，母親患上了精神分裂癥。貧窮的麗茲需要出去乞討，流浪在城市的角落，生活的苦難似乎無窮無盡。隨著慢慢成長，麗茲知道，只有讀書成才方能改變自身命運，走出泥潭般的現況。她從老師那里爭取到一張試卷，漂亮的完成答卷，爭取到了讀書的機會。從現在起，麗茲在漫漫的求學路上開始了征程。她千方百計申請哈佛的全額獎學金，面試時候連一件像樣的衣服也沒有。然而，貧困并沒有止住麗茲前進的決心，在她的人生里面，從不退縮的奮斗是永恒主題。
