前者是長期以來的習(xí)慣，“不喜歡做某事”；后者只是特定的一次，不固定的“不喜歡做某事”；
I hate being together with arrogant people.

情景對話：
A: Why don't you go to beach with us? 你怎么不跟我們一起去海灘？

2. out of stupidity “由于愚蠢，出于愚蠢”；
out of...可表示“出于某種原因，某種動(dòng)機(jī)”；如：out of fear “由于害怕，出于害怕”；out of spite“出于怨恨”；
He killed himself out of shame.
他由于羞愧而自殺。
情景對話：
A: Why doesn't she speak with you? 她為什么不跟你說話？

3. this (that) sort of thing 這種（那種）事；
That sort of thing terrifies people.
那樣的事令人感到恐怖。
This sort of thing is very common.
這種事各地做得很多。

B: This sort of thing is a common occurrence. 這類的事情，在他身上是太多了。
4. come up with 想出，提出；
He couldn't come up with the answer.
他想不出答案。
Have you come up with a more practical idea?

情景對話：
