劇情提示：
貝拉的18歲生日到了，然而她卻擔心自己總有一天會老去，而愛德華永遠是17歲。在電影課上觀看《羅密歐與朱麗葉》時，愛德華告訴貝拉，自己很羨慕朱麗葉可以自殺，而自己作為吸血鬼，是不死的，要結束自己的生命，只有一個辦法，就是激怒意大利的吸血鬼王族沃爾圖里家族。
Bella: I hate being celebrated.
Edward: There are worse tragedies. Hm, look at Romeo*. He kills his true love out of sheer stupidity.
Bella: Yeah.
Edward: Though I do envy him, one thing.
Bella: Juliet*. She's like perfect. If you like that obviously beautiful sort of thing.
Edward: No, not the girl, dear. The suicide. It's nearly impossible for...some people. For humans, a little poison...a dagger to the heart...So many different options.
Bella: Why would you say that?
Edward: Because I considered it once. I didn't know, if I'd get to you in time. I had to come up with some kind of...plan.
Bella: And what was the plan?
Edward: I would go to Italy, and provoke the Volturi*.
Bella: The what?
Edward: The Volturi.
