我跑得那么遠(yuǎn),那么快,很快就發(fā)現(xiàn)我的身邊沒有同伴了。
“so…that”句型是我們大家都熟悉的,但是在觀賞電影的時(shí)候,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)在美國(guó)人的日常英語中卻不是應(yīng)用的很多,即使使用,也不會(huì)教條地說成“so…that”,而像上面的首例中 that是可以省略的。
1. The lecture was so boring, that I fell asleep.
講座無聊之至,我睡著了。
2. He was so tired he even could’t stand up.
他累極了,甚至都站不起來了。
中國(guó)人在口語表達(dá)里習(xí)慣用這樣的句子:
1.There were so many curtain calls that the singer lost count of them. 而地道的美國(guó)口語會(huì)表達(dá)地簡(jiǎn)明扼要。
2. The singer lost count of the number of curtain calls. 歌手謝幕了很多次。
