Hesitate: 猶豫, 躊躇, 不愿 bring up :提出 ugly；丑陋的，難看的
這句老師的話意思是她真不愿意提起上次發生過的事，可想而知，她的雙胞胎兒子在學校有多么頑皮，前一次已經讓LYNETTE很難堪了。
2. Teacher: We can try that. But if it doesn't work, we may no longer be able to accommodate them. Sth doesn’t work:很常用的詞組，解釋為什么不管用，起不了作用。No longer:不再 accommodate:原意是供應,使適應, 調節的意思，這里解釋為教育，管制比較合適。
3. Gabrielle: That doesn't make any sense. I've seen her driver's licence, it does not say Angela. driver's licence：駕駛證件，在北美，駕照就代表了你的身份，他們沒有什么身份證之類的東西，就只有駕照，其實和身份證一樣有姓名，年齡，住址，電話等。他們的駕照能派很多用處，你去店里買酒要出示一下，應為美國規定21歲以下不可以買酒。也許你到了法定年齡，但長象頗年輕的時候就要出示下駕照。

Sort of 在DH中非常常見，表示有些的意思。但在FRIENDS中經常出現的詞是kind of 常被剩略成kinda，呵呵，可能是拍攝場所不同吧，地點不同，人們的習慣用語也不同。
5. Julie: I still don't understand why you don't just ask him out on an "official date"
Ask sb out：約某人出去，約會的意思。Official date：正式的約會 official官方的，正式的 date:很常見了吧，就是約會的意思，一個字就可以表示，千萬不要說什么make a appointment，那是和醫生約好時間看病的意思。
6. Susan: Well, she's bringing out the big guns.
這就話是SUSAN看到EDIE在洗車時說的一句話，big guns不是什么大的武器的意思，EDIE在那里邊洗車邊SHOU身材，其實這里可以理解為EDIE使出了她的殺手锏。
