劇情介紹：
羅斯收養一只叫馬賽爾的猴子。
六人達成協議，在迎接新年的派對上不帶伴侶。
在Central Perk咖啡館唱歌時，菲比遇到兩個爭吵不休的男人，
經過交鋒，她和其中一個開始約會，此人名叫大衛，是個科學家。
兩人關系發展順利，可他接到科研基金，需要赴明斯克工作三年。
大衛不知所措。
派對上除了羅斯，人人都忘了約定，帶了伴侶參加；
菲比帶大衛，喬伊帶著他在百貨店遇到的單親媽媽桑迪；
瑞秋則帶來提前飛回的保路；錢德寂寞難耐邀請了珍妮絲；
莫妮卡請來fun波比（有酒就fun沒酒就boring那個）；羅斯只有馬賽爾作伴。
不過，午夜時分每一對都不歡而散。

Rachel: Hey, do you guys know what you're doing for New Year's? (They all protest and hit her with cushions) Gee, what?! What is wrong with New Year's?
Chandler: Nothing for you, you have Paolo. You don't have to face the horrible pressures of this holiday: _________2_________Man, I'm talking loud!
Rachel: Well, for your information, Paolo is gonna be in Rome this New Year, so I'll be just as pathetic as the rest of you.
Phoebe: Yeah, you wish!
Chandler: It's just that I'm sick of being a victim of this Dick Clark holiday. I say this year, no dates, we make a pact. Just the six of us- dinner.
All: Yeah, okay. Alright.
