"I've noticed that you devote a lot of attention to physical activity! Do you do this on company time?" the interviewer asked.
"我注意到你十分重視體育活動！你會在公司時間開展體育活動嗎？"采訪者問。
"Absolutely not! I studied physical education when I was younger, so that's why I exercise regularly!
"絕對不！我以前上過體育課，所以我經常鍛煉！
But it's all on my own time! I also itemize my phone bill so that I pay for personal calls myself!" Joseph replied.
但我只在自己的時間鍛煉！我還開列詳細的電話單,這樣私人電話我就自己付費！"約瑟夫回答說。
"I know you can pick and choose who you like to give performance evaluations to, but you got the best employee when you picked me!"

"Well, we like to pay a surprise visit to every employee. Don't worry. I don't think that any of our concerns pertain to you!"

"May I ask what you're looking for? Maybe I can discover something in the peace and quiet that comes after you leave!"

The interviewer leaned back and thought about it.

"Hmmm. Let me ask you a personal question, then. Do you like your boss?" Joseph hesitated.

"Look at the company photo album! Do you see any photos of employees next to the boss who appears happy?"

"We've been noticing a declining rate in per capita productivity, even though nothing has changed anywhere else in the books!
"我們發現人均生產量正在下降，盡管賬上其他東西一點兒沒變！
We're pecking at the accountant, but he seems to know nothing about it!
我們在查會計的賬，可他好像什么都不知道！
I suspect that when we peel off all the layers of information, it will be your boss who has been skimming money off the top!"

The interviewer stopped. "I expect this will be held in your confidence!"
采訪者停了下來！"我希望這件事你不會外傳！"
"Absolutely. There's nowhere I can go if I didn't. My number's in the phone book! I'll keep my eyes open!" Joseph replied.
"絕對！如果不保守秘密我沒有地方可去！我的號碼在電話簿里面！我會密切注意這件事！"約瑟夫回答說。
"Thanks." As Joseph walked away be smiled-they had no idea he was the one taking the money!
"謝謝。"約瑟夫走開的時候笑了——他們不知道貪污的人就是他!
