【學(xué)校通知】：教授布置了a special assignment, 是讓學(xué)生們?nèi)useum 看 ancient Egyptian sculpture, 然后寫paper。

好處1：make more sense than the textbook；

好處2：教授可以拿到團體票的折扣，半價。
【學(xué)生態(tài)度】：女生贊成這個assignment。

理由1：這樣做，可以給學(xué)生提供一個近距離親眼鑒賞課本里講到的雕塑，有利于幫助學(xué)生加深印象never forget。
理由2：博物館門票正好有discount, 而且不用學(xué)生出錢。這個女生本人一直想去參觀這個museum, 就是因為門票太貴，所以一直沒去成。

【名詞解釋】：audience profile（廣告受眾的需求）。講做廣告之前，要gather and analyze潛在消費者customer的喜好和需求，針對他們的personal喜好和需求設(shè)計廣告。
【教授舉例】：教授舉了一個賣牛奶的例子。有個milk company想推銷它的牛奶，首先在超市做了大眾問卷調(diào)查，問了很多問題比如where, how often, who, how much之類，確定house wife尤其是mother是primary客戶。這些女性客戶購買牛奶的時候，看重的是牛奶的營養(yǎng)，而不是口味，于是牛奶公司做的廣告主要介紹他們的牛奶含有很多維生素等營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)。此廣告使銷量很大改善。Question：用聽力的例子來解釋對這個概念的理解。

【學(xué)生困難】：春假，宿舍關(guān)門，男生家太遠(yuǎn)，不想回家，但沒有地方住。

【解決方案】：
女生給了方案1：live with his friend Nick, Nick家離學(xué)校近，還可以和Nick的家人一起度假。但男生擔(dān)心他可能have no time to do the paper。女生說男生可以假期結(jié)束后寫，不過時間就不多了。

男生自己說出方案2：教授全家要去意大利度假，他可以去幫教授看房子live in professor's house and help to feed his pets, 這樣男生可以專心focus on paper。但他怕一個人會很無聊，而且教授的house is out of town, 他又沒車，很不方便。Question 6
【講課要點】：

選擇observatory location。主要原則：could observe star clearly。
一是avoid lighting pollution, 因此city is not an ideal place, 因為city is brightly lighted at night, 比如有很多car headlight；
二是avoid humidity, desert是個好選擇，而且它有clear dark sky。
