Will Your Confidence Be Affected by External Factors?

Confidence is extremely important in almost every aspect of our life． It is said that confidence is oftenthe single ingredient that distinguishes a successful person from someone less successful． Yet many people only govern their behaviors based on what other people think， stay in their own comfort zones fearing failure and so avoiding taking risks， and oftentimes work hard to cover up mistakes and pray that they canfix the problem before anyone wiser． For those low-confidence people， they bear in their mind that somepeople are more competent， more beautiful， much wealthier than them， and hence they are reduced to frustrations．
自信對于生活的各個方面都非常重要。人們常說自信是區分成功和失敗的唯一因素。但是，人們總是依據別人對自己的想法行事，人們總是希望待在舒適區域中，他們害怕失敗，避免危險。有時，人們總是希望通過努力工作來掩蓋錯誤，并希望他們是第一個解決問題的人。對于那些不自信的人來說，他們會認為有許多人都比他們聰明、漂亮、富有，這將會讓他們感到沮喪。
However，confidence should not be affected by those differences in terms of appearance，wealth，and familyconnections．Firstly，as people can not improve their financial situations and change their appearancesovernight，they are likely to change their mindset to become confident．For those who believe that confidence is based on wealth，appearance，and other external factors， their confidence is measured by external factors．In line with this belief，we can assume that only the wealthy， the beautiful， the handsome and the famous are confident．I think this is not the case． In our daily lives， there are people who earn meager salaries but still are confident of their futures who have counted days due to terminal cancers but are still confident of fulfilling their childhood dreams． If those people base their confidence in current situations， they are doomed to live gloomy and sad lives， for the perception of oneself has an enormous impact on what they will do in their daily life． Therefore， confidence is built from within instead ofexternal factors．
但是，自信不應該受到外貌、家庭、財富的影響。首先，人們無法一夜之間改變自己的經濟狀況，改變自己的容貌，但是他們可以讓自己變得更加自信。對于那些相信自信是來自財富、外貌、以及其他外界因素的人來說，他們的自信受到了外界的影響。對于這些人，我們認為只有美麗、成功的人擁有自信。我不這么認為。在日常的生活中，有許多人收入微薄，但是，那些患有癌癥而進入晚期的病人，他們依然感到自信，他們還希望能夠實現兒時的夢想。如果這些人能夠把自信付諸于現實之中，那么，他們的生活將會一籌莫展，因為人們的思想將會對生活造成重大的影響。所以，自信來自心里，而非外界。
Secondly，despite that people always are in lack of something， they are likely to learn and build confidence step by step． No matter how average they are， they have achieved something in their lives to date and have strengths that they are not aware of． Tragically， human beings are always in pursuit of what theywant，but neglect what they have possessed． This also explains why they base their confidence on externalfactors Because those external factors only exist in their mind in the near future， they are not real andsolid．When people determine to set the journey to build confidence and carry things through by basing their confidence on what they have achieved and their strengths， no one can take it away， for they are realand solid．Gradually，confidence is build on and success is readily available， which will in return make people more confident．
第二，人們總會缺少什么，他們會一點一點地建立自信。不論他們有多么平庸，他們也獲得了許多的東西，也有許多他們沒有意識到的能力。有時，人們總是追求著他們想要的東西，而卻忽略了他們已經擁有的事物。這就解釋了為什么他們會把自信建立在外界因素上。因為那些外界因素只會建立在他們的心中，而不是真實的事物。當人們想要建立自信時，他們會把自信建立在他們已經獲得，并且擁有的能力上，這些別人是拿不走的，因為這些是真實存在的。通常，如果人們建立了自信，成功就將不遠，因為這些能夠讓人們變得更加自信。
In sum， confidence is built from within instead of from external factors． People can learn to be confident by appreciating what they have achieved and their unique strengths． In this sense， confidence should not be affected by external factors such as fame， wealth， power， and etc．
總結，自信是從心里產生的，而不是從外界得來的。人們可以通過他們獲得的勝利來建立自信。從這一點看，自信不應該受到如名譽、財富、權利等的影響。
