A Chinese company said it would end a cooperation agreement tied to the Paramount Pictures film 'Transformers 4: Age of Extinction' and said it demanded the film company remove its logos and properties ahead of the movie's scheduled world-wide opening next week.

Beijing Pangu Investment Co., which owns a distinctive-looking, dragon-shaped hotel, office and mall complex in China's capital city Beijing, said it ended its commercial sponsorship of the film on June 15 and is filing suit against Paramount and other local Chinese companies for breach of contract.

The deal for product placement featured Pengu's property featured in the film and was worth roughly $1 million, according to a person familiar with the arrangement. 'Pangu Plaza has a prominent placement in Transformers 4 and it looks beautiful on screen,' Paramount said, adding: 'We regret that Pangu is not currently satisfied with certain aspects of our collaboration and are working to resolve its concerns.'
