Chapter 13	第十三章
Marvin trudged on down the corridor, still moaning.	馬文走在走廊里，還在繼續(xù)抱怨。
"... and then of course I've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left hand side ..."	“于是乎，我整個(gè)左半身的所有二極管都痛得厲害……”
"No?" said Arthur grimly as he walked along beside him. "Really?"	“什么？”走在他身旁的阿瑟冷淡地問(wèn)了一句，“真的嗎？”
"Oh yes," said Marvin, "I mean I've asked for them to be replaced but no one ever listens."	“哦，當(dāng)然。”馬文說(shuō)，“我曾經(jīng)要求把它們通通換掉，可是根本沒(méi)人理我。”
"I can imagine."	“我想像得到。”
Vague whistling and humming noises were coming from Ford. "Well well well," he kept saying to himself, "Zaphod Beeblebrox ..."	含糊不清的喃喃細(xì)語(yǔ)從福特嘴里傳出，“是嗎，是嗎，是嗎，”他一直在這樣自言自語(yǔ)，“贊福德·畢博布魯克斯……”
Suddenly Marvin stopped, and held up a hand.	馬文突然停下來(lái)，舉起一只手。
"You know what's happened now of course?"	“你知道發(fā)生了什么，對(duì)吧？”
"No, what?" said Arthur, who didn't what to know.	“不知道。什么？”阿瑟其實(shí)根本不想知道。
"We've arrived at another of those doors."	“我們又碰上了—扇那種該死的門(mén)。”
There was a sliding door let into the side of the corridor. Marvin eyed it suspiciously.	走廊的這一端也是一扇滑動(dòng)門(mén)。馬文懷疑地盯著它。
"Well?" said Ford impatiently. "Do we go through?"	“怎么？”福特不耐煩地說(shuō)，“我們到底過(guò)不過(guò)去？”
"Do we go through?" mimicked Marvin. "Yes. This is the entrance to the bridge. I was told to take you to the bridge. Probably the highest demand that will be made on my intellectual capacities today I shouldn't wonder."	“‘我們到底過(guò)不過(guò)去？’”馬文喃喃自語(yǔ)道，“當(dāng)然。這是控制橋的入口。我受命把你們帶到橋上去。我敢說(shuō)，這也許就是今天對(duì)我的智力的最高考驗(yàn)了。”
Slowly, with great loathing, he stepped towards the door, like a hunter stalking his prey. Suddenly it slid open.	慢騰騰地、帶著極大的厭惡之情，他朝這扇門(mén)走去，活像一個(gè)獵人正在悄悄接近目標(biāo)。突然間，門(mén)滑開(kāi)了。
"Thank you," it said, "for making a simple door very happy."	“謝謝，”它說(shuō)，“你讓一扇簡(jiǎn)簡(jiǎn)單單的門(mén)感到非常愉快。”
Deep in Marvin's thorax gears ground.	馬文的胸腔內(nèi)，元件開(kāi)始痛苦地顫動(dòng)起來(lái)。

Chapter 13
