During the awards season this year, Adele was showing off a slimmer figure following her health troubles last year. She was forced to cancel a string of gigs after a benign polyp was found on her vocal chords. Last month, Adele defended her curvier figure after being criticised by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The German fashionista courted controversy when he said: "The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice." She said in defence: "I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that." "I don't want to be some skinny mini. I really don't want to do it and I don't want people confusing what it is that I'm about."
