On June 2, 2009, the annual military parade was held in Rome, Italy to mark the 63 anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Italy. In accordance with customs in Rome, the military parade was held in Via dei Fori Imperiali. All arms of the Italian armed forces, including the gendarmerie and police forces, the military academies of the 6400 officers and men lined up in turn accepted the review.
