What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why,
I have forgotten, and what arms have lain
Under my head till morning; but the rain
Is full of ghosts tonight, that tap sigh
Upon the glass and listen for reply；
And in my heart there stirs a quiet pain
For unremembered lads that not again
Will turn to me at midnight with a cry．
Thus in the winter stands the lonely tree,
Nor knows what birds have vanished one by one,
Yet knows its boughs more silent than before：
I cannot say what loves have come and gone；
I only know that summer sang in me

為甚么，在何方？
我的長(zhǎng)發(fā)枕過(guò)誰(shuí)的手臂，
從傍晚直到天亮？
一切都難以追憶，
一切都不堪回想；
只聽(tīng)到夜游的鬼魂嘆息
只聽(tīng)到追問(wèn)的細(xì)雨敲窗。
心底翻動(dòng)著隱痛，
愛(ài)的往事一片迷茫；
淡忘了夜半尋我的少年，
不再有把我呼喚的情郎。
就像那孤寂的枯樹(shù)，
獨(dú)立寒冬暗自神傷；
戀枝的鳥(niǎo)兒一去不返，
枝頭更加落寞空蕩。

只知道春光短暫，
