The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to a group which helped support Tunisia’s democratisation process when it was in danger of collapsing, according to the Nobel committee.

Tunisia’s National Dialogue Quartet won for showing an example of peaceful transition in a region otherwise struggling with violence and upheaval.

The Nobel Peace Prize, worth about 860,000 euros, will be presented in December.
