我等下會把它想通。figure out指想通一個問題。
老美說想通一個問題或是解決一個問題很喜歡用 figure out 這個片語。 例如你要問人家一個問題, 你就可以說, How do you figure this out? (你是怎么想出來的呀?) 或是 work it out 也很常用, 也是解決問題的意思。 例如你跟你的同學一起作功課, 你就可以說, OK, Let’s work it out together。
【小問題】
I can’t figure out why she said such a cruel thing. （我不懂她為什么要說這樣殘酷的話。） ，這個句子中使用figure out（了解） ，這個片語和understand在用法上有什么不同？
figure out是會話中使用非常頻繁的片語，以上面所舉的例子而言， figure out和 understand可互相替換，在意義上不會產生任何變化。
但是請看看下面的例句：
We haven’t figured out how to solve the problem yet.
我們還沒想到要怎么解決這個問題。
在這個句子中， figure out 是 to discover by thinking（經(jīng)思考后發(fā)現(xiàn)）的意思，
在這里不可以用 understand取代。
這也就是為什么說 I ’m figuring it out. （沒有問題），說 I’m understanding it. 卻不行的緣故。
