He CAN Talk!
它會說話！
One day a man walked into an auction house. While there, he bid on a parrot.
一個人走進拍賣公司。他在那兒競拍一只鸚鵡。
He really wanted this bird, so he got caught up in the bidding.
他特別想要這只鸚鵡，所以他不斷地出價。
He kept on bidding, but kept getting outbid, so he bid higher and higher and higher.
他不斷地出價，但總有人出價比他高，所以他的出價就越來越高。
Finally, after he bid way more than he intended, he won the bid-the parrot was his at last!
最后，他的出價已經超出了預算。但是他競拍成功——鸚鵡是他的了。
As he was paying for the parrot, he said to the auctioneer, "I sure hope this parrot can talk. I would hate to have paid this much for it, only to find out that he can't talk!"
付錢時，他問拍賣師：“我希望這只鸚鵡會說話。我可不想花了這么多錢，換回一只不會說話的！”
"Don't worry," said the auctioneer. "He can talk. Who do you think kept bidding against you?"
“不用擔心，”拍賣師說，“它會說話。你以為和你競買的是誰？”
