1. come away：離開
e.g. He had to come away before the party ended.
他不得不在舞會結束前離去。
e.g. She had to come away before the end of the play.
她沒有把戲看完，就不得不走了。
2. get back to：回到（某處）
e.g. The damaged ship managed with difficulty to get back to port.
那艘受損的船費力地駛回港口。
e.g. The only way he can get back to the mainland is on the grocer's boat.
所以他回大陸的唯一辦法就是乘坐那條貨船。
3. put sb. through sth.：使......經歷（經受）
Exp. If someone puts you through an unpleasant experience, they make you experience it.
e.g. She wouldn't want to put them through the ordeal of a huge ceremony.

e.g. Those two husbands put me through hell.

4. in time：及時，適時
e.g. You'll be in time if you hurry.

5. keep the secret：守口如瓶，隱瞞秘密
e.g. Nobody would know about it if you keep the secret.
如果你保密的話，沒有人會知道的。
e.g. She resolved to keep the secret in her bosom.

6. for one’s sake：看在某人的份上，看在某人的面子上，為了......
e.g. Elinor, for her sister's sake, could not press the subject further.
埃莉諾為了她妹妹的利益，不再堅持這個題目了。
e.g. Think of your mother and think of her misery while you suffer. For her sake you must exert yourself.
