Logan E. Progress in literature coincides with the progress of education. In 1456, the most important invention was created, the Gutenburg printing press. This invention was sparked by a new idea that with more printings more people could read the Bible. Now that more books, pamphlets, music were being printed new ideas and concepts were traveling around the European continent. Books were no longer written in Latin but in the vernacular for everyday people to read. The new idea of mass producing changed the progress of society to a faster moving one where information and communication could prosper.
