A clever boy
聰明的男孩
It was a very hot summer afternoon. The sun was shining brightly. A very tall and fat woman was walking along the street. She felt uneasy because a schoolboy was following her closely. She began to walk faster, and the boy walk faster, too. At last the woman stopped. She turned round and looked at the boy.
夏天的一個炎熱的下午，明亮的陽光普照大地。一個又高又胖的女人正沿著街道走著。她感到很別扭，因為一個小男孩正緊緊跟著她。她開始加快速度，可是男孩也加快了速度。最后，女人停下來，轉過身去看著那個孩子。
"Tell me, sorry," she asked. "Why are you following me?"
“告訴我，小家伙，為什么總是跟著我？”她問道。
"Oh, sorry, madam," said the boy, "but it's a cooler walking in the shade behind you."
“哦，很抱歉，女士，”男孩說道，“因為在你身后的影子里走很涼快啊。”
