Dr.Green was busy and worked very hard every day.
格林醫生很忙，每天都非常努力地工作。
His wife was worried that he would get sick if he continued working like that
,他的妻子擔心他要是一直那樣工作下去的話會生病，
so she asked him to take a holiday.
所以她讓他去度假。
She was afraid that her husband might not enjoy his holiday,
她害怕她丈夫可能安心地度假，
so she told her husband's assistant not to bother him with phone calls about his work.
所以就告訴她丈夫的助手不要打電話告訴他工作上的事來煩他。
"Just wait till we come back," Mrs.Green said.
“等我們回來再說，”格林太太說。
After Dr.Green and Mrs.Green had been on their holiday for about a week,
格林醫生和太太度假大約一星期后，
Dr.Green received a letter from his assistant.
格林醫生收到了助手的信。
From the letter he knew that something very bad had happened in their house,
從信上得知他們的房子發生了很糟糕的事情。
but the assistant dared not bother them with it while they were enjoying their vacation.
但助手不敢在他們度假時打擾他們。
Dr.Green phoned her at once,but it was too late.
格林醫生馬上打電話給她，但已經太晚了。
"I'll tell you about it in details as soon as you come back," said the assistant.
