My family got a computer this week.
這個(gè)星期我家買了一臺電腦。
Li Ming helped me learn how to use it.
李明幫我學(xué)習(xí)如何使用它。
At first, I didn't know which button to press!
首先， 我不知道按哪個(gè)按鈕！
Li Ming also connected me to the Internet.
李明還幫我上網(wǎng)。
Li Ming said that you would be happy if you heard from me.
李明說如果你收到我的信會很高興的。
He gave me your e-mail address.
他把你的郵箱地址告訴了我。
This is only my second e-mail.
這是我的第二封郵件。
I sent my first e-mail to Li Ming last night.
昨晚我發(fā)了我的第一封郵件給李明。
I failed to reach him by phone,
我打電話沒聯(lián)系上他。
so I wrote him a message.
所以我就寫了一封信給他。
Then, I waited to see if he would write back.
然后，我等著看他是否回信。
This morning, I received an answer from him.
今天上午， 我收到了他的答復(fù)。
My e-mail program made a noise,
我的郵件程序響了一聲，
and said "You have mail!"
并說“你有新郵件！”
The Internet sure is fun!
網(wǎng)絡(luò)真的很有意思。
I feel like I'm connected to everybody in the world.
我感覺我與世界上的每個(gè)人都連接上了。
If I want to learn about somebody in the U. S.,
如果我想要知道關(guān)于美國的某個(gè)人，
I can use the Internet.
我可以使用網(wǎng)絡(luò)。
If I need information about kangaroos,
如果我需要關(guān)于袋鼠的信息，
I can use the Internet.
我可以使用網(wǎng)絡(luò)。
I can look at the mountains in South America,
我可以看南美的山脈，
or see fish far under the ocean.
或者是看在海洋深處的魚。
I can send a message to you in Canada,
我可以給在加拿大的你發(fā)郵件，
and you receive it a moment later.
你一會兒就會收到。
We can learn so much from each other.
我們可以從彼此那里學(xué)到太多的東西。
My teacher, Ms. Liu, says that

the Internet is the most important invention since the printing press.
自從印刷術(shù)發(fā)明以來，網(wǎng)絡(luò)是最重要的發(fā)明。
I agree! I would love to get some e-mail from somebody in Canada.

I hope it won't be long till I hear from you.
