My name is Teresa.
我叫特里薩。
I came to Canada two years ago.
我兩年前來的加拿大。
I was in Grade 6. Now I am in Grade 8.
那時我上六年級。現在我上八年級。
My family comes from Hong Kong.
我們家來自于香港。
I speak Chinese at home, but I speak English at school every day.
我在家說漢語，但是在學校我每天都說英語。
I learn all my subjects in English.
我學習的所有科目都是用英語授課。
I have a friend.
我有一個朋友。
She speaks English, but her grandmother taught her some Chinese.
她說英語，但是她奶奶教了她一些漢語。
She helped me understand and pronounce new words.
她幫我理解新單詞意思和單詞的發音。
It was funny!
這很有趣！
Sometimes I didn't understand her Chinese.
有時我不明白她的漢語。
Sometimes she didn't understand my English!
有時她不明白我的英語！
What is hard about learning English?

Sometimes I don't know how to say something.
有時我不知道該如何念某些東西。
Then I think in Chinese and I say the words in Chinese.
然后我用漢語思考，我說漢語詞匯。
I put Chinese words in English sentences!

My friends say, "What are you talking about?"

Mrs. Martin is a teacher at my school.

She reads with me.

We read a lot of stories.

When I don't understand a word, I look it up in the dictionary.
當我不明白一個單詞時，我就查字典。
I like reading, but my favourite way to learn English is watching TV and movies.
