Bruce's father works for a magazine in Australia.
布魯斯的父親在澳大利亞一家雜志社工作。
He is writing an article about our city.
他在寫一篇有關我們市的文章。
He's bringing Bruce with him.
他要帶布魯斯一起來。
To have Australian guests will be exciting!
有澳大利亞的客人來非常令人興奮!
I have told Bruce many things about Shijiazhuang,and now he will see it.
我曾告訴過布魯斯有關石家莊的很多事情,現在他將要親眼目睹了。
It is interesting for him to read about a foreign country.

李明
The weather in Australia is quite different from that of Shijiazhuang.
澳大利亞的天氣和石家莊的大不相同。
When it's summer in Australia,it's winter in Shijiazhuang.
澳大利亞是夏天時,石家莊是冬天。
Two for the Price of One
用買一個的價錢買兩個
Bruce and Li Ming are walking down the street.
布魯斯和李明在沿著大街走。
They see a man who's selling pop.
他們看到了一個賣汽水的人。
"I'm thirsty," says Li Ming.
“我渴了,”李明說。
"I'm going to buy a pop.Would you like one too,Bruce?"
“我要買一瓶汽水。你也想要一瓶嗎,布魯斯?”
"Yes,please!" says Bruce.
“是的,勞駕了!”布魯斯說。
Li ming speaks to the man.
李明和那個人說了。
Then,he takes some money from his pocket and pays the man two yuan.
然后他從口袋里拿出錢付給了那個人兩元。
The man gives Li Ming two pops.
那個人給了李明兩瓶汽水。
Li Ming passes a pop to Bruce.
李明遞給了布魯斯一瓶。
"Thanks,Li Ming," says Bruce,but he looks confused.
“謝謝你,李明。”布魯斯說,但是他看起來很疑惑。
"You're welcome," replies Li Ming.
“別客氣,”李明回答。
"What's the matter?"
“怎么了?”
"You got two pops for two yuan!" says Bruce.
“你兩元錢買了兩瓶汽水!”布魯斯說。
"I bought pop from that man yesterday.
“我昨天從那個人那兒買了汽水。
I paid double for one pop!"
我兩元錢買了一瓶!”
"Why did you pay so much?" asks Li Ming.
“你為什么付那么多錢?”李明問。
"I asked him how much it costs for one pop," says Bruce,
“我問了他一瓶汽水多少錢,”布魯斯說,
"and he said two yuan."
“他說兩元錢。”
"That's what he said to me,too!" laughs Li Ming.
“他也是這樣跟我說的!”李明笑著說。
"I told him that I would pay only one yuan for each pop.
“我告訴他我一瓶汽水只會付一元錢。
He said no.
他說不行。
So I said that I would buy my pop from someone else.
因此我說我會從別人那里買汽水。
Then he said that I could have two pops for two yuan."
然后他說我可以兩元錢買兩瓶。”
Bruce says,"Oh,I made a mistake!"
布魯斯說:“哦,我犯了個錯誤!”
"Don't worry about it,Bruce," says Li Ming.
“布魯斯,別為這個煩心了,”李明說。
"It doesn't matter."
“沒關系。”
In Australia,a price is a price.
在澳大利亞,要價多少就是多少。
People don't try to change it!
人們不會試圖還價的。
Buying things in China is confusing!
在中國買東西很令人困惑!
It really depends on where you are.
這確實要看你在哪里。
Bargaining is common here.
在這兒,討價還價很普遍。
