Lesson 18: Two Hours Too Early
第十八課： 早到兩小時太早了

Have you ever had to wait for something for a long time?

How did you feel and what did you do?

Look at the picture of Danny.

Why do you think he is sleeping?

On Saturday,Danny gets up very early.
星期六，丹尼很早就起床了。
He wants to build his product!
他想做出自己的物品！
But first,he must buy supplies.
但是首先，他得買原料。
He takes his money,and walks to the mall.
他拿上錢，向商場走去。
He gets to the mall,and pushes the door.
到了商場，他去推門，
It won't open.He pulls the door.
門沒開。他又拉門，
It still won't open!
還是沒開！
Then he sees a sign: "Closed."
后來，他看到一個招牌：“關門”。
Oh,no!Danny is too early.
哦，不！丹尼來得太早了。
"I wonder when the mall will open?" Danny thinks.
丹尼想道“我想知道商場什么時間開門？”
Then he sees another sign.
接著他看見了另一個招牌。

Monday to Thursday ,10 AM to 6 PM ,
周一至周四,上午10點到下午6點,
Friday and Saturday ,10 AM to 9 PM ,

Sunday ,12 PM to 5 PM ,
周日,中午12點到下午5點,
Closed ,Holidays ,
不營業,節假日,
Danny looks at his watch.
丹尼看了看表，
It's 8:15.The mall won't be open for almost two hours!
才8：15。商場還有將近兩個小時才開門！
Danny sits down on the ground outside the door.
丹尼坐在門外的地上。
He's very tired,and very hungry.
他又累又餓，
He hasn't had any breakfast.
他沒吃早飯。
He waits and waits.
他等啊等。
His eyes slowly close....zzzzz...
他的眼睛慢慢地閉上了。
Suddenly,Danny hears somebody say something.
突然，丹尼聽見有人在說什么。
He opens his eyes.
他睜開眼。
A clerk is standing beside the open door.
一名店員站在打開的門的旁邊。
It's ten o'clock.
10點了。
"I'm sorry," says Danny,"but I didn't quite hear what you said."
“對不起，”丹尼說，“我確實沒聽清你說什么。”
"I said,may I help you?" says the clerk.
“我說，需要幫忙嗎？”店員說。
"Oh,yes,you may," says Danny.
“哦，是的，”丹尼說，
"I'm very hungry.If you gave me a donut,that would be a big help."
“我非常餓。 如果你給我個油炸圈餅，那就幫了大忙了。”
"No," laughs the clerk,"I mean,what would you like to buy?"
“不，”店員笑了，“我的意思是，你想要買什么？”
"I need five pieces of wood," says Danny.
“我需要五塊木板，”丹尼說，
"I also need a big bottle of glue."
“還需要一大瓶膠水。”
Danny pays for the wood and glue,and goes home.
丹尼付完木板和膠水錢，就回家了。
He's ready to begin!
他已經準備好開始了！
