This week in school,we had a classroom Olympics!
這周我們在學(xué)校舉行了教室奧運會！
Our class invented five different events.
我們班發(fā)明了五個不同的比賽項目。
Then,everyone competed in each event,one by one.
然后，大家一個接一個地參加每個項目。
The events were fun!
這些比賽項目很有趣！
Some of my classmates had very good ideas.
我的一些同學(xué)有很好的想法。
But my favourite event was Danny's.
但我最喜歡的是丹尼的項目。
He called it "Jump over the Dinosaur."
他管它叫“跳恐龍”。
Danny's event was a race.
丹尼的項目是賽跑。
Each person walked on some paper "pizzas," climbed through a cardboard "donut,"
每一個人在一些紙做的“比薩餅”上走過，爬過一個紙板“油炸圈，”
and then jumped over a toy dinosaur.
然后跳過一個玩具恐龍。
We used a watch to see who was the fastest.
我們用表看誰最快。
What was the result?
結(jié)果是怎樣的呢？
Danny won the race!
丹尼贏了比賽！
None of us caught up with him.
我們當(dāng)中沒有人趕上他。
But I was close:
但我跟他很接近：
I was two seconds behind Danny.
我就差丹尼兩秒。
Few of the other students were so fast.
其他沒有幾個同學(xué)跑得這么快。
Brian was sad,because he lost.
布賴恩很傷心，因為他輸了。
He came in twentieth.
他是第20個到的。
He did his best,but he kept falling off the pizzas!Jenny
他盡力了，但還是不斷地從“比薩餅”上掉下來！詹妮
Poor Brian!
可憐的布賴恩！

I laughed when I read about "Jump over the Dinosaur."

Only Danny would think of an event like that!
只有丹尼會想出那樣的項目！
Please tell me about some of the others.
請告訴我其他比賽項目的情況吧。
Was ping-pong an event in your classroom Olympics?
在你們的教室奧運會上乒乓球是一個比賽項目嗎？
I really like ping-pong.
我真的非常喜歡乒乓球。
Maybe I will play ping-pong in the real Olympics someday.
或許有一天我會在真正的奧運會上打乒乓球。
Danny's victory in his event doesn't surprise me.
我對丹尼在他的項目中取得勝利并不感到驚訝。
He's a good athlete.
他是一名優(yōu)秀的運動員。
How many other events did he win?

I hope Brian wasn't too sad.
我希望布賴恩別太難過了。
If he practises walking on pizzas,he'll do better next time!
如果他能在“比薩餅”上做行走練習(xí)，下次他會做得更好的。
