Meaning: I made many mistakes which sometimes made me feel ashamed.
embarrass: vt. make one shy, ashamed
It embarrassed her that her husband was drunk at the dinner. 她丈夫在宴會(huì)上喝醉酒令她很尷尬。
This was an embarrassing situation for the gentleman for he couldn't afford the dinner. 這位先生很尷尬，因?yàn)樗恫黄鹜聿偷腻X。
