二、文章講解：
Aeroplanes are slowly driving me mad. I live near an airport and passing planes can be heard night and day. The airport was built years ago, but for some reason it could not be used then. Last year, however, it came into use. Over a hundred people must have been driven away from their homes by the noise. I am one of the few people left. Sometimes I thinkthis house will be knocked down by a passing plane. I have been offered a large sum of money to go away, but I am determined to stay here. Everybody says I must be mad and theyare probably right.

1）drive someone mad 把某人逼瘋
例：Working overtime every day drives me crazy. 每天加班把我逼瘋了都。
2) 注意slowly 做狀語，復習狀語的特點。

2.I live near an airport and passing planes can be heard night and day.
1) near 在...附近， 近義詞next to 緊挨著；
2) pass v. 經過
例：I’m just passing by. 我就是路過（pass by 路過）
例：I’ll take a pass.／I’ll pass. 我就不參加了。
辨析：past (名詞，形容詞，副詞，介詞) 就是沒有動詞

3)情態動詞的被動語態
結構：情動動詞 ＋ be + done
例：The criminals should be punished.
4)night and day 日日夜夜；
