Well, I mainly use the Internet for two purposes: to know stuff and to find out stuff. Over the years I have found Wikipedia to be the best source of information on the Internet. True, that many of the articles are written and edited by novices and sometimes give wrong information, but that's only a pebble compared to the mountain of correct information that's there.
