Mary: Did you get the memo I sent to the new employees yesterday?

Kevin: No, I didn't. What was the memo about?

Mary: We have some company policies regarding the hours each employee works and also a change in the sick leave policy.

Kevin: Oh? What are the changes?

Mary: Well, you are a salary worker, not hourly but you are still required to put in a minimum of thirty-five hours each week.

Kevin: Okay, that sounds pretty typical. What about the sick leave policy?

Mary: Well, the previous policy was three sick days per month for salary employees, but the company has changed this to four weeks annually. So it is a bit shortened.

Kevin: That's fine.
