總頭開始學：個十百千萬，最基礎的數字單位
英語里的數字單位跟中文有些不同，比如我們的“萬”這個概念，英語里則是“十千”，“億”則是“百百萬”。
single-digit number: 一位數
double-digit number: 兩位數
three-digit number: 三位數

英語個、十、百位數大家基本都能掌握，我們著重講比較燒腦的大數字：
ten thousand: 一萬
a hundred thousand: 十萬
a million: 一百萬
ten million: 一千萬
a hundred million: 一億
a billion: 十億
ten billion: 一百億
a hundred billion: 一千億
a trillion: 一萬億

注意，hundred, thousand不加s:
除了thousands of, 英語里具體數字涉及hundred, thousand都不加s:
比如3000是three thousand;
30000是thirty thousand；
30萬是300 hundred thousand, 都不加s；
Million和billion也是相同邏輯

千位數：書面、口語表達方式不同
像1500這樣的，千位百位都是有數字，個位十位都是零的數字，口語中常常把前兩位按十位數念出來，再加上hundred。
1500即fifteen hundred
6600即sixty-six hundred
但如果是整千的數字，也就是百位數是零的話，比如5000，就不能說成“fifty hundred”，而應該念“five thousand”。
In math class, the teacher would always say “one thousand and five hundred”: 上數學課，老師都會念“one thousand and five hundred”
If I'm talking to my friend, I'd say, “fifteen hundred.”: 如果是跟朋友聊天，我會說“fifteen hundred”

不是整數的數字怎么念？
竅門是遇到四位數以上的數字，我們先遵循英語千、萬...的表達方法，接著把剩下的數字放在一起念：
比如
1555: fifteen hundred and fifty five或者one thousand five hundred and fifty-five
15555: fifteen thousand five hundred and fifty five
155555: a hundred fifty thousand five hundred and fifty five
雖然有點搞，不過大家多看幾遍，就會理解其中的規(guī)律了；

價格怎么念？
去過美國的朋友一定知道，美國的價格經常以.99結尾，碰到這類數字該怎么念呢？
一般表達價格的時候，念法都會有所簡化。比如小數點(demical point)就會直接省略，不用說point; 而dollar等錢的單位在口語里也常常不說。

dollar shops: 一元店
nine ninety-nine: $9.99

People simplify these number-related expressions for the sake of convenience: 許多數字的念法被簡化了，為了說起來更方便

小數和分數
小于1的數字，最前面的零口語里可以省略，比如0.8就是point eight。
分數的念法和中文是反過來的，比如：
1/5是one fifth; 3/5是three fifth, 1/10是one tenth
另外注意，后綴要加th
decimal: 小數
(zero) point eight: 0.8
(zero) point five: 0.5
percentage: 百分數
fraction: 分數
one fourth/one quarter: 1/4
one half (two fourths): 1/2 (2/4)
three fourths/three quarters: 3/4
