Talking about Learning English
Mark: Your spoken English is pretty good. Please tell me about your leaming experience.
Lucy: Uh, I don't know what to say. What do you want to know?
Mark: What is your method of leaming?
Lucy: Let me think... Um, I think I always try to take every chance to practise.
Mark: What if you don't have the opportunity? If you-don't have a partner, what would you do?
Lucy: Well, I talk to myself. That is, I speak one role first, then the other.
Mark: That's a good idea! You're really creative. How long have you been practising like this?
Lucy: Well, I started when I was in my second year of university. That was two and a half years ago. You should know that perseverance is the fundamental principle in learning English no matter what method you use.
Mark: Definitely. Rome wasn't built in a day.
