5．suggest vt. 建議
suggest表示“建議”時，屬意志動詞，其后that從句中要使用助動詞should，而should往往予以省略，直接接動詞原形。
例：I suggest that he ( should) spend more time researching the subject.
（我建議他應該多花點時間研究這個項目。）
6．expensive a．昂貴的
inexpensive a. 便宜的
7．prefer vt. 寧要，比較喜歡
prefer to V rather than V 寧愿……而不愿……
= prefer to V instead of Ving
= would rather V than V
例：He prefers to walk rather than take a taxi.
（他寧愿走路而不愿搭出租車。）
8. ... as well 另外也……
=..., too
例：The burglars took the computer and the TV as well.
（小偷拿走電腦，另外也拿走了電視。）
9．a couple of + 復數名詞 幾個……
例：Gordon bought a couple of CDs at the record store.
（戈登在唱片行買了幾張CD。）
10．pick n．（樂器的）撥子，琴撥
11．Don't mention it. 不用客氣。
= Not at all.
= You are we come.
A: Thanks a lot.
（甲：非常謝謝。）
B: Don't mention it.
（乙：不用客氣。）
