跳出思維定勢----think outside the box/think out of the box

大家好，歡迎來到小強英語。今天我們要學(xué)習(xí)的表達是：think outside the box或者說think out of the box。跳出盒子想問題？其實就是咱中文所說的“跳出思維定勢”。think outside the box在美國已經(jīng)是個老生常談的用法，但是起源時間卻不是很久遠，是上個世紀的七八十年代。據(jù)說那會兒的管理顧問喜歡讓顧客玩一個九點連線的游戲，所謂的"nine dots" puzzle。The goal of that puzzle is to link all 9 dots using four straight lines or fewer, without lifting the pen and without tracing the same line more than once. 游戲目的就是用四條或者更少的直線把九個點連起來，不要斷筆、也不要重復(fù)畫線。據(jù)說難倒了不少人。其中的一個簡便的方案就是跳出正方形邊界來畫線。大伙兒可以看看下面的配圖。所以這個think outside the box， think out of the box寓意就是to think creatively, unimpeded by orthodox or conventional constraints.創(chuàng)造性地想問題，不受正統(tǒng)或常規(guī)所限制。我們來看一下例句：

You won't come up with good ideas until you think outside the box.
除非你跳出思維定勢，否則你是不會想出好點子來的。
