cotton on 理解
【講解】
cotton on是英國(guó)英語中的一種非正規(guī)的口語表達(dá)方式，意即“理解,懂得”，其后面往往跟 to something。 例如：At last, she’s cottoned on to what they mean.(最后她終于明白了他們的意圖。）再例如：He’d been speaking for half an hour before I cottoned on.(他講了半個(gè)小時(shí),我才明白他的意思。）

A:Mary, could you help me with this problem?
A：瑪麗，能給我講講這道題嗎？
B:Sure, Ah, our teacher has explained it in class, hasn't he?
B：當(dāng)然可以。啊，這道題老師上課不是講過了嗎？
