Forecast for the future
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to recongize the features of an effective presentation.
STUART: In contrast, there's been a population boom since 2005 of more than twenty percent. In fact, it's estimated that by 2010 there'll be more than fifty thousand people living in the downtown area. Can you see that?
LAWYER: Your graphics are pretty small, Stuart.
STUART: I'm sorry about that. It's estimated that by 2015 there'll be more than a hundred thousand people living in the downtown Los Angeles area and that figure is estimated to more than triple by the year 2020 to almost half a million people living in the downtown area. Now just think about that, more than sixteen million people living within a fifteen mile radius of the downtown area. That's actually going to lead to an estimated five thousand jobs. long term jobs!
STUART: Which admittedly is not the most exciting portion of my presentation but I'll tell you what is, it is this next thing. It is the renovation redevelopment. Would you believe that within the last few years there've been more than twenty five theatres that have come into the downtown area. In fact by 2015 we'll have more theatres than Broadway or Paris and on top of that 4 skyscrapers, office buildings, apartments, condos and shops.
