Headquarters and Information

許多的英語學(xué)習(xí)者把"headquarters"這個單詞的"s"漏掉而在"information"后加上了"s"。Headquarters是個單數(shù)名詞意思是公司的總部："I'm going to headquarters this weekend to meet with the CEO." Headquarters是個微妙的單詞因?yàn)樗且?s"結(jié)尾的?？雌饋硐笫莻€復(fù)數(shù)名詞！但是漏掉"s"會把headquarters變成個動詞，"to headquarter."

在另一方面，許多學(xué)習(xí)者在information后加上了"s"。大多數(shù)人的理由是如果他們需要很多的信息，他們就需要把這個單詞變成復(fù)數(shù)，例如，"I need informations on overseas study programs."但是信息是個不可數(shù)名詞（它沒有復(fù)數(shù)名詞）。你只需要說，"I need some information."
